Why it matters

Access to swimming is a public health issue.

Children from lower-income families are significantly less likely to be able to swim. Non-swimmers are more likely to drown. Aquatic activity reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and builds lifelong health habits — yet access remains deeply unequal.

Our assets are legally locked to the community purpose. They cannot be sold, diverted or privatised.

Reinvested surplus

Any surplus is reinvested directly into subsidised lesson places and community programmes.
